As stated in the previous article on identifying counterfeit money there are some visual checks you can make to check for counterfeit notes.
Click here to read the article on identifying counterfeit notes.
If you are checking older bank notes then you will need a special UV light to help with checking for counterfeit notes.
These UV reactive lights are perfect for checking new and older types of counterfeit bank notes.
All bank notes haves special images and or text on them that is invisible unless viewed with a special UV light.
If you are observant you may have noticed that some banks teller cubicles contain a light that contains a fluorescent tube that is black in colour.
If switched on it will emit a purple colour.
These special lights are used by the bank tellers to check if suspect bank notes are counterfeit.
UV (Ultra Violet) Lights including UV torches are best for all round counterfeit money detection.

]]>Most of the Electronics parts I need have now arrived, so I am busy sorting them and seeing how to use them.
If you ever want good ideas for electronic Projects Youtube have plenty of Projects to wet your appetite.
My best guess is that some of the projects I show here and on the main website will inspire others to make the same Electronic Projects so I have ordered extra components in to offer them for sale.
I will possibly start offering Project kits for the Projects I make.
Some of the Electronic Projects I intend to make are
- A LED Light ring that mounts on my camera has contains 20 x 10watt white light LEDS
- An LED Light system for use when filming videos. It;s brightness can be easily adjusted.
- A quad copter or drone using raspberry Pi and my smart phone to control it. .
- A midi controller for making unique musical sounds.
- Various items for use when playing my electric Guitar
- An extremely bright handheld LED light that will turn night time into daylight in my backyard.
- 3D Printer not really a electronics Project but will be needed to make some of the Projects
- Software and hardware controllers for special Effects with Electroluminescent and LED strip lights.
All the best until next post.
Paul
]]>What are my plans for the foreseeable future?
I have a few projects line up.
The first is a project kit I purchased that run a number of LED (Light Emitting Diode) light strip lights.
Another project is to make a high output video light for when filming indoors. The output should be equivalent to about 1,000 watts.
Then I want to make a camera adapter ring that fits around the camera lens which has many 5w UV LED's around it it to help with taking Photographs of objects exposed to the UV light.
Business wise we will be offering many types of unique but helpful electronic Products to help our customers build their Projects.
Our ambition is to get People motivated so we will be writing tutorials on how we make various Projects.
We will supply video links when applicable and supply lists of Parts needed and hopefully be will be about to supply the necessary electronic components.
We we also steer clear of mains powered Electronics Projects.
To make Projects like this we will use mostly Batteries but sometimes use AC to DC Power adapters where necessary.
DC to DC Voltage Boosters are a great way to obtain higher voltage output of batteries.
At present we supply 3.7 volt Li-ion rechargeable Batteries and suitable battery cases to house up the 4 of these batteries giving a total voltage of 14.8 volts DC.
Using eight batteries and two battery cases will give us a total DC voltage of 29.6 volts; more than ample to power most decent electronics Projects that deal with many LEDs.
I just ordered one of these to help me with soldering some components.
If you need one of these please advise as I have ordered a few extra units to be made.
Ok, Thats me done for this Post. See you next time.....
]]>One of the great things about owning a Raspberry PI is that you can play many of the games you played many years before.
This is great news for me as I have loved computer games since the 1970s.
When my oldest son was about 5 years old we purchased a NES (Nintendo Entertainment System).
My family and I spent many thousands of hours playing many different games on the NES, including Mario Brothers and Legend of Zelda.
Now I can play many games again using the Raspberry PI.
A Raspberry PI 2 B for best playback.
A Micro SD card with the Game Emulator Software copied onto it.
A computer monitor or mini LCD as shown below
A xbox, Playstation or other controller. You can also use a full size or mini keyboard if you prefer.
Game Roms. It is illegal to play games that you do not own. So do as I do and play games demos or games made for game consoles that are legal to use.
I also recommend you do not download illegal game roms as they may contain computer viruses.
I have installed demos of Doom, Quake and a few other games that I like.
Youtube has many great videos that show information on Raspberry PI game emulation.

Back in the 1980's I gained a great interest in building electronics Projects.
In those days you could buy electronics projects - kits from your local Dick Smith Electronics Store.
I built audio amplifiers, electronic organs and electronic door bells.
After having children I lost my passion for Electronics due to lack of time commitment needed to continue learning electronics.
My children are now Adults and after learning about and playing with the two above electronics boards I now have that passion again.
The Raspberry PI and Arduino are very inexpensive to purchase but can do many complex things.
Just do a search on Google's YOUTUBE and you will see a ton of Tutorials, reviews and how to make vidoes.
The raspberry PI is like a mini computer that costs about $50.00 AU to buy and is great for learning about computer programming and also Electronics.
Being a mini computer it processes information internally.
Raspberry Pi's have only been around a few years but their popularity is growing fast due to the amount of varied applications you can do and make with them.
They were first developed to teach school children computer programming and basic electronics.
The Raspberry PI also has many home and commercial applications, for example controlling Christmas lights, building Retro gaming systems, Automating your home, and many other new and exciting things that I will be writing about in upcoming blog Posts.
The Arduino is different to The Raspberry Pi in some ways but in others it can do much the same.
The Raspberry PI is like a mini computer and can be run without the need of a PC where as a Ardruino uses a software program that is installed onto your computer.
Just like the Raspberry PI you can write programs to run things like LED Lighting.
Arduino's are only a few years old just like the Raspberry PI and also gaining popularity.
Youtube has many Arduino videos just waiting for you to view.
We are gearing up to offer for sale many Raspberry PI and Arduino and other Electronics accessories.
These now Products will compliment our existing range of electronic Products already available.
We will try to offer unique and/or hard to find electronics hardware that is not available elsewhere.
And as we continue to learn and experiment in the exciting world of electronics we will pass on our knowledge to you.
You may know we have been manufacturing Face and Body paint here in Australia for about five years.
We were wondering why a certain Australian store on ebay is selling their face and body paint so cheaply.
So cheap that you can not make it for the price they are selling it for.
I had my suspicions that this so called maker of face and body paint was buying Paint from a Manufacturer and diluting it down with water to make it super cheap to produce, before selling it.
I was reading the feedback from this ebay stores past customers and guess what? It seems by their customer feedback they do water down their paint.
Now you may ask what does it matter?
The more you water down a paint, the thinner it gets and this makes it look cheap and nasty when applied. This also waters down the binder that makes the face and body Paint adhere to your body.
It also makes the poor customer feel angry and ripped off.
Paint suppliers like this make consumers believe all Face and Body Paint is junk.
This is untrue as there are some very good Face and Body Paints available.
But keep this in mind, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
This same seller also had a number of customer reviews removed by ebay. I guess their customers had some mighty bad things to say about this stores Face and Body Paint.
I think ebay should be held accountable for hiding the negative feedback this store has received, and it is still considered by ebay to be a Premium seller. Ha ha that is laughable. I would hate to buy from a ebay store without Premium Seller status.
Another review stated that they are selling normal bright coloured Paint as UV Face and Body Paint.
There is also a relatively new Paint manufacturer in the UK (also on ebay) whom also offers paint so cheap that we guess he is also watering down his or her paints. If they are not selling diluted Paint then they are using fillers in the paint to keep prices down at the expense of quality.
We know of a major Face and Body Paint manufacturer in Australia whom uses fillers in their Fluorescent Face and body Paint. It lists the fillers on the ingredients on the bottles. We do not add fillers as fillers diminish the UV Glow Effect.
Adding fillers like Talc and Calcium Carbonate diminishes the colour intensity.
If you ever have the chance to shine a UV torch on normal white house Paint (they use fillers like calcium carbonate) you will understand why these fillers reduce the colour intensity of coloured Paints.
We know using fillers in Fluorescent Paint reduces the quality of the paint, (this reduces the fluorescent colour) and we believe they should not be selling it as a UV reactive paint.
If you suspect a paint you buy from a shop or ebay is watered down, return it to the retailer and demand your money back. It is your legal right.
The easiest way to see if a Paint is truly made to be UV reactive (glow under black light) is to shine a UV torch on the Blue or violet coloured Face and Body Paints. Blue and Violet Fluorescent Paints do not glow well if at all when near UV Lights. Paints made for use with UV Black lights do glow when near a UV.
So what are the main points you should know before buying Face and Body Paints;
1- You get what you pay for...
2- Not all Paints are created equal.
BUYER BEWARE...........
]]>Sugar skulls are artificial skulls made of sugar which is used in the Mexican tradition of day of the dead (Calavera).
Dyes and flavors are added to these skulls making them edible.
You can even buy Sugar skulls made of chocolate. People write their names on these skulls are often eaten or kept for a few days and then thrown away.
Sugar skulls can also be made from clay and are often painted in different colours even in some cases fluro coloured and metallic colours.
The popularity of this tradition is spreading very rapidly, to prove this just type #FacePaint on instergram and you will see that there an over eight million photos currently displayed on this social network for the hast tag #FacePaint
Now here is the interesting part most of the new photos that are coming thru in the news stream are for sugar skull inspired face paint designs. Just think we are only taking about instergarm what about the larger social media platforms? Like Facebook and twitter, well let’s just say #SugarSkulls could just about break the internet just like Kim Kardashian did with her photos.
Whilst browsing around Instagram I notice that some people where using UV Glow Face and Body Paints in there Sugar skulls face paint designs, I must be honest here and say they did look rad! Face painters have also done full body sugar skulls inspired designs which also looks great.
Now we do have some new ideas in the mix to suite the Sugar Skulls and day of the dead theme but for now I have to keep my mouth shut. If you would like to know what Sugar Skulls and day of the dead themed products we will be releasing please subscribe to our newsletter.
]]>Yesterday we finished our first large batches of our new Cosmetic Grade Face And Body Paint that uses Flexible Soft Wax Technology.
As you may know waxes are normally hard and brittle at room temperature, but our new soon to be released flexible soft range will be wax based but will dry, but remain relatively flexible.
This type of face and body paint has many advantages of other similar Paints, including resistance to sweating, flexibility, but still easily removed with soap and water.
We will add more information on this new range soon.

I remember reading a article many years ago stating it is possible that one of the species of Australian Rain forrest trees could help science defeat cancer.
We can only hope this miracle seed from the Blush wood tree is the cure for all or many types of cancer.
