The difference between Glow in the dark Pigments (powders) and UV (Blacklight) Glow Pigments.
-
Glow in the Dark Pigments use any available light source to charge including UV Black Lights; they can then in dark conditions discharge (illuminate) for many hours. UV Pigments need UV BlackLights to glow, but can not store energy to use after the UV Blacklight is turned off; so will stop glowing.
-
In dark situations, where both types of pigments are near a UV blacklight, and the UV blacklight is turned off, the UV Pigments stop glowing, but the glow in the dark pigments will continue to glow.
Fact - Most UV Glow Paints do not use UV (Blacklight) Pigments; these paints rely on the fluorescence of the Paint to give the glow effect.
Fact -Invisible Paint is not just the domain of the UV Blacklight Paints. A wall can be painted, without any glow pigments in the paint; It can then have a mural or whatever is required, painted on the wall, with a Glow in the Dark Paint, or paints, (that have different glow colours) that are the exact same colour as the previous coat of paint. In light conditions the wall will look normal and be secretly charging under the lights; and when the lights are turned out, the Glow imagery will come to life.
